New Discoveries in Science: Epigenetics, Genetics, and Gene Modification

Title Change: New Discoveries in Science: Epigenetics, GMO, Gene Editing and Gut Microbes
Explore recent scientific breakthroughs that are having major social, commercial and political ramifications. Participants will learn about Epigenetics – the genetic changes caused by environment, and then will focus on the origin of race. Examination into the genetics of modern and archaic humans will reveal migrations and relationships. A discussion of your Microbiome will reveal how genetics effect your gut and overall health. The final lecture will cover gene editing and genetically modified organisms. Discussion is encouraged. Expect a lively and interesting four weeks.
