Goal of Conversation Partners Program

The Conversation Partners was created to provide a rewarding experience, where all students can learn about other cultures, while establishing a friendship with someone from another country.

Interested in being a conversation partner? Apply using the form at the bottom of this page.

How it Works

International students in the Intensive English Program are matched one-on-one with WWU students. Students are expected to meet throughout the quarter, practice conversational English, and simply have fun. Conversation Partners can meet on campus or off campus anytime during the quarter for a minimum of six hours, and can participate in a wide variety of activities.
