GRE Testing

The GRE test is an online, standardized exam taken by prospective students applying to graduate and doctoral degree programs nationally and internationally. The GRE test features questions that closely reflect the kind of thinking you’ll do in graduate or business school. To ensure scores are reported prior to application deadlines, please check the admission deadlines for the graduate programs to which you’re applying.

To register for the GRE online test, please visit www.ets.org/gre or call (443) 751-4820 or 800-GRE-CALL.

Scores:

Official scores emailed 10-15 days after exam.

Prepare with Western’s online GRE Test Prep Course or download free POWERPREP software.

Day of test:

Please bring valid picture identification. Click here for info on ID requirements. Learn more about what to expect on your GRE test day and what items to bring to your test.

Test Length:

240 min

Retesting:

Candidates can take the GRE test once every 21 days and up to five times within any continuous rolling 12-month period.
