GEMS Night Out (Girls in Engineering, Math & Science) Bellingham

Registration will close one week before the program date.

Enjoy a fem-powered evening exploring the motivating fields of engineering, math and science at GEMS Night Out!

Students in grades 3-8 will explore hands-on science activities in Western’s Science Resource Center in the following class groups: grades 3-5 and grades 6-8, followed by an hour of swimming at the Wade King Student Recreation Center on Western’s campus.
Join other fab GEMS for an inspiring and empowering learning experience.

The GEMS Night Out session will feature a unique science theme for your child to explore:

November 9 - Codebreakers: Puzzles and Problems
Students will develop their problem solving skills as they work to solve various problems, codes, and puzzles.

January 25 - Biology Up Close
GEMS will discover the microscopic organisms living among us.

Students are asked to bring:

  • A jacket
  • A healthy snack
  • A curious mind
  • A water bottle
